Apr. 9, 2009 (Baseball Musings delivered by Newstex) -- Robinson Cano collected three hits in four at bats to raise his early season average to .545 as the Yankees down the Orioles 11-2. There were stories over the winter on Canos progress building back his swing, but experience teaches to take those stories with a grain of salt. Canos work, however, is paying dividends. The biggest positive sign is Robinsons three walks in three games. Given that he averaged one a week in 2008, one a game is a fantastic improvement. I dobut hell come close to that during the season, but the Yankees will be happy with one every three games from the second baseman.
