With the temperature falling and rain drops dropping in Philadelphia during the World Series, there was grousing in the press box and the annual discussions of the value of a neutral site for the game's annual showcase.

For all the compelling arguments that can be made for finding sunshine in late October -- or next year early November -- three things are often overlooked:

  • Fans aren't complaining about having games in their park when their team is in the World Series, weather notwithstanding.
