"You hope so," Jeter told reporters after the game of setting the mark at the new stadium. "Any time you talk about a Yankee record and you can do it at home, that's pretty special." --RHP Mariano Rivera was available out of the bullpen for Sunday's game after missing the past three games due to a sore left groin, manager Joe Girardi said, but he did leave himself an option to rest the closer one more day. Girardi said he could use RHP Phil Hughes to close in case he opted to offer extra caution for Rivera. "He feels good," Girardi said of Rivera. --CF Brett Gardner is expected to join the club for its doubleheader Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays, manager Joe Girardi said. Gardner, who has been out since July 26 with a broken left thumb, has looked good in a rehab assignment for AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Pa.), Girardi said. "He has played a very good center field. ... and has no problems throwing as well," Girardi said.
--LHP CC Sabathia will pitch in the first day of Monday's doubleheader against Tampa Bay and RHP A.J. Burnett will throw in the second game, manager Joe Girardi announced. Girardi said he left it up to the pitchers to determine their order.

RHP Mariano Rivera (sore left groin) did not pitch Sept. 2-5. He felt fine after a bullpen session Sept. 5 and was available out of the bullpen Sept. 6 but did not see action.
RHP Sergio Mitre (sore right forearm) left the Aug. 29 game. X-rays were negative, and his next start was pushed back to Sept. 6.
CF Brett Gardner (broken left thumb) went on the 15-day disabled list July 26. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 3, and he is expected to be activated Sept. 7.
RHP Chien-Ming Wang (right shoulder strain and bursitis) went on the 15-day disabled list July 5, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 31. He had season-ending surgery July 29.
OF Xavier Nady (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 15, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 21. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 24, but he experienced a setback June 25. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery July 8.
