Yankees update: They ended a nine-game trip to open the season on Wednesday and return to New York today to christen their new park in the Bronx. Hideki Matsui hit .421 (8-for-19) against the Indians last year. Wang was 1-1 and Chamberlain 0-1 last year against the Tribe. Mariano Rivera had three saves while holding the Tribe to one hit.

Injuries: Indians - Infielder Jamey Carroll (left hand), outfielder David Dellucci (left calf), and pitchers Scott Lewis (left forearm) and Jake Westbrook (right elbow) are on the DL. Yankees - Third baseman Alex Rodriguez (right hip) is on the disabled list. Outfielder Xavier Nady (right elbow) is expected to be put on the disabled list today.
