A-Rod on steroids? Why? Greed. Narcissism. Here's hoping this is the cherry on top for those conducting the witch hunt that has consumed Baseball for nearly five years. It's time to stop expecting our athletes to be superior moral beings. Our politicians aren't. Why should some guy chasing a ball around be held to a higher standard? Would we not be tempted to "cheat" to get ahead, especially with millions of dollars on the line? (Is it cheating if everyone does it/can do it?) I would. This isn't a moral issue.
We are a culture drugged out of our collective skulls, yet we choose to demonize only certain drugs and label their use immoral. I'm not defending Rodriguez. He is perhaps Baseball's biggest jerk. But if we're going to be hypocrites, we'd be better off acknowledging it.

Alex Rodriguez's admission that he took steroids between 2001-03 is good news for Blue Jays fans. In 2003, Blue Jay Carlos Delgado came in second place behind A-Rod in the voting for the American League's Most Valuable Player award. Major League Baseball should strip A-Rod of his MVP award and give it to Delgado.
