Rodriguez scratched with stiff neck

NEW YORK (AP) - Alex Rodriguez has been scratched from the New York Yankees' lineup with a stiff neck.

Rodriguez was batting fourth and playing third base in the opener of a day-night doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday before the switch.

Cody Ransom replaced Rodriguez at third and was batting seventh. Left fielder Xavier Nady moved from sixth to the cleanup spot, and designated hitter Hideki Matsui was bumped up one spot to sixth in the order.

Rodriguez is batting .308 with 33 homers and 95 RBIs this season.
